Welcome back to the T&A's Review of the Year 2017, where we take a month-by-month look back at what made the news in Bradford through what's been very busy year.
We'll be posting two months worth each day from now until New Year's Eve, with a full rundown of the year's most read stories on New Year's Day.
Without further ado, here's a flavour of what you were reading in September...
Family of eight stuck in a lift in The Broadway
Eight members of a Bradford family including an eight-week old baby, a three-year-old and two asthma sufferers had to be rescued from a lift at The Broadway.
The lift broke down at around 9.25pm and they were eventually rescued by Bradford Fire Service around an hour later.
Pedestrian dies after being struck by car in Leeds Road
A woman was knocked down and killed while crossing the road outside Debenhams.
Kathleen Farman suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A court case is ongoing after a man was charged with death by dangerous driving.
Pedestrians were warned to keep away from a sinkhole that opened up in Baildon.
Little did anyone know at this point that the hole would turn out to be a massive underground cavity caused by a collapsed culvert that would take three months, and a six-figure sum, to fix!
Manics rock Bingley Music Live
Manic Street Preachers were the headline act at this year's Bingley Music Live, which was hailed a sell-out success by the council.
But the event didn't quite run without a hitch, as several people fell victim to a fake wristband scam.
'Compulsory hijab' school uniform criticised
Two Bradford schools were criticised for making the hijab compulsory as part of their uniform.
The Bradford Council for Mosques said that no-one should be 'forced' to wear the hijab.
Feversham College in Undercliffe and Olive Secondary in Barkerend both stated on their websites that girls should wear the hijab or a headscarf as part of their official uniform policy.
