Welcome to the T&A's Review of the Year 2017, where we take a month-by-month look back at what made the news in Bradford through what's been very busy year.
We'll be posting two months worth each day from now until New Year's Eve, with a full rundown of the year's most read stories on New Year's Day.
Without further ado, here's a flavour of what you were reading in January...
Bradford Bulls go into liquidation
To say that 2017 has been a turbulent year for the Bulls would be a massive understatement, and it started in the worst possible way - with the news that the club was going out of business.
The Bulls stunned the world of rugby league when they ceased trading on January 3, having been in administration since November 2016.

Although a new company was eventually formed to run the club and the Bulls were able to take their place in the Championship for 2017, the fallout has dogged them throughout a torrid campaign that ended in relegation.
Man shot dead by police on M62
The shooting of Yassar Yaqub during a police operation on the M62 made national headlines. The operation ended with arrests at Chain Bar for firearms offences and led to angry scenes locally as riot police were deployed to deal with protests on Leeds Road and Shipley Airedale Road. The Independent Police Complaints Commission was brought in to investigate the shooting.
The year's first wild weather struck in early January, as 40mph gusts of wind uprooted trees, destroyed a bungalow and blocked roads.
Among the worst hit was Les Mairs of Birkenshaw, whose home was hit by a falling beech tree. Elsewhere trampolines were blown into the street, walls collapsed and roofs were left in a dangerous condition.
Sudden death of popular girl days after her 14th birthday
Teenager Ellie Bramham passed away two days after her birthday after suddenly being taken ill with type 1 diabetes.
Fellow pupils at the BBG Academy in Birkenshaw, where Ellie was in Year 9, released balloons in her memory and a crowdfunding appeal to pay for her funeral raised more than £7,000.
The school's headteacher Saira Zuffman said that support for Ellie's family had been phenomenal, and that the death was an absolute tragedy that had shown how supportive the community was.
Thousands of litres of paint spilled on the M606
If we were to list every mishap on the M606 this year it'd be one of the longest articles on the site, but this has to go down as the year's weirdest reason for a road closure.
A lorry carrying 10,000 litres of paint shed its load, spilling more than 3,000 litres across the carriageway.
The damage was so bad that the road needed to be resurfaced overnight.
