PLANS to build commercial units on a long vacant plot of land have been withdrawn by developers.
The application by A Hussain would have seen five units built on a 890 square metre plot of land at the corner of Fullerton Street and Buck Street.
It was submitted in October, but withdrawn this week. No reason has been given for the withdrawal, but Bradford Council’s Highways Department had objected to the plans.
The application said the development would create 10 jobs, and include seven off street parking spaces.
In their report on the application, highways officers said: “The proposal fails to provide suitable access, parking and servicing arrangements likely to result in an increase in on-street parking and servicing taking place from the highway
resulting in conditions prejudicial to highway safety.”
