A TOTAL of 21 vehicles were seized during a police crackdown on vehicles in Shipley.

Officers are in the town with representatives from the DVLA looking for vehicles that should not be on the road. The operation took place today. 

Five vehicles were seized in the first hour of the operation, with ten vehicles seized, with two others clamped, by 11am. They were seized for offences including having no insurance or tax.

Pc Chris Cook, ward officer for Shipley and Saltaire, revealed the early haul for cars being seized.

He posted on the Shipley police Facebook page: "Five vehicles now seized in just over an hour.

"If you haven't got your documents in order, then there's no time like the present.

"Don't end up with your vehicle on the back of a truck."
