Brace yourself for another icy night - and snow on the hills.

That's the message from the Met Office who have issued another yellow warning for ice and snow from 4pm on Wednesday December 13 to 11am on Thursday December 14.

A spokesman said: "Ice will again form on some surfaces from late Wednesday afternoon, which will continue through the night and well into Thursday morning.

"In addition, wintry showers will spread from the west with some accumulations of snow, though mostly restricted to high ground.

"There will probably be icy stretches on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths with some slippery surfaces likely."

A previous weather warning for Bradford, which predicted heavy snow last Sunday, left many across Yorkshire unamused after the forecast blizzards hit further south than anticipated.

But the agency claims an overall accuracy rating of 86.5% in its forecasting, so best make sure you're prepared if you're planning to be out and about overnight.
