A FESTIVAL to “empower” young adults and teenagers of Bradford will be held in the city centre this Saturday.
The #IamPerfectAsMe festival will look at themes including body positivity, mental wellbeing and family relationships.
Held in Speakers Corner on Ivegate, which has transformed a former money exchange shop into a venue for people to discuss pressing issues, the event will run from 1pm to 7pm and feature a number of workshops as well as a disco and afterparty.
The I Am Perfect As Me movement was started during the first Women of the World Festival last year. The young people involved in the festival, the Wowsers, came up with the phrase as a way of promoting body positivity during the event.
The festival is free. To register, visit eventbrite.com/e/i-am-perfect-as-me-tickets-40970527952
