TWO women are in hospital after an early morning crash in Halifax Road, Shelf.
Police had to shut the road in both directions after the collision involving a Peugeot and a Renault Megane happened just before 6am today, December 9.
A police spokesman said the women, who were both in the Peugeot, were seriously hurt but their injuries were not believed to be life threatening. They were taken to Leeds General Infirmary.
Firefighters were among emergency services at the scene. The road finally re-opened at 10am after debris was cleared.
A police spokesman said there were no arrests.
