AN exhibition has been held in Bradford College to raise awareness of Islamaphobia - at the same time US President Donald Trump hit the headlines for re-Tweeting an anti-Muslim Tweet.
Held in the David Hockney building, the exhibition featured examples of hate crimes committed against Muslims, the rise of far Right, contributions made by the Muslim community and notable Muslim figures in the UK.
The three day exhibition started on Wednesday and marked the end of Islamophobia Awareness Month.
While it was running, President Trump retweeted messages from Britain First, one of the far right groups referred to in the exhibition.
Mohammed Azeem, a youth worker at the college, said: “We have had people from all walks of life coming along and discussing the exhibition. It is about discussing Islam and getting rid of some of the stereotypes.
“The college is a really diverse place and this is about celebrating that diversity.”
