A GROUP of amateur musicians who recorded an album to benefit armed forces charities are holding a live gig tonight to boost their fundraising drive.
Royal British Legion volunteer Mick Woosnam came up with the idea of a charity CD last year and got together with other amateur musicians to record all the tracks at a studio in Bradford.
Mr Woosnam, of New Street Grove, Pudsey, has spent around £700 on music rights and the costs of getting the CDs made.
They held a gig at the weekend and are due to play at The Royal Hotel, Pudsey, tonight from 7.30pm.
Entitled Remember, the CD contains ten tracks and is available for a donation of £5. The funds raised will be split between three charities which benefit ex-servicemen, SSAFA, BLESMA and Help for Heroes.
