RESCUE teams helped carry a man to safety off the moors above Haworth.
Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) was called out at 1.54pm last Wednesday (November 15) following reports a man was experiencing dizzy spells that required medical assistance and help off the hill.
During this time, 12 CVSRT members responded immediately following a request by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to help the inbound Yorkshire Air Ambulance crew with the evacuation of the casualty.
Once the first fell party arrived on scene, it transpired the Yorkshire Air Ambulance crew had managed to land very close to the casualty and stabilised him.
After a short flight to the car park at Penistone Country Park, CVSRT members helped the crews to transfer the man for transport to hospital.
