TWO staff members have been welcomed to new roles at one of Skipton's most historic pubs.

Rosalynd Simcoe-Anderson has been promoted to manager, and Rob Green is new head chef at the Castle Inn, Mill Bridge.

Thirty-year-old Rosalynd was born and bred in London, and her family originally hails from Barnoldswick. After working in the capital's pub and club scene she moved north in 2015 to be near her mother Diane, who lives in Airton. She joined the Castle's staff in January last year.

Rob Green, 53, is originally from Leeds and now lives in Shipley. He trained as a chef at two of Leeds's leading hotels and was chef at two of the city's top Italian restaurants. He also also had his own restaurant in Huddersfield for a time, before more recently working as a freelance chef at several gastropubs across Yorkshire.

Castle Inn landlord Calvin Dow, who took over the pub eight years ago, said: "These two key managerial appointments are purpose-designed to build on our success and progress to date. We just want to keep getting better."
