PLANS to turn an empty building opposite Queensbury’s Victoria Hall into a take away have been submitted to Bradford Council.
Saiqa Naveed has applied to convert 20a Sandbeds, a former shop selling wooden goods, into a new hot food takeaway business. The planning application is also for an extension to the building to create extra space for staff toilets and storage.
The plans say that the building was last used as a shop in May.
A heritage statement included in the application says: “Extensions will be added with the main frontage receiving a new angled frontage with a new entrance door and feature windows either side to create a more pleasant looking building, more in keeping with the scale of the existing surrounding buildings.”
A decision on the application is expected to be made in the New Year.
