GROOVY Happening favourites will perform at David Bowie’s birthday party in Haworth.
The Ruby Stone Sound and Emily Falls are among performers at the concert on January 6 at the Old Hall in Haworth.
They will help raise money for Manorlands at an event organised by local woman Sue Burke and also featuring face painting, a DJ and Bowie cocktails.
On the child-friendly bill, playing from 3pm and into the evening, will be Joe Tilston, Joe Dinsdale, DNA, Steve Houldsworth and Ben Jordan.
Sue said: “Like most people of my age I loved the Ziggy Stardust album but, as I was into punk, I missed out on a lot of Bowie’s music in the 70s.”
Sue is organising a meeting at the Old Hall on December 6 at 8pm for musicians interested in taking part in the latest David Bowie night.
Visit hawortholdhall.co.uk for further information about the gig and meeting.
