SKIPTON winners of the National Campaign For Courtesy (NCFC) in 2016 had the pleasure of handing over to Shepperton who have been hailed winners of the 2017 town for courtesy.
Malcolm Weaving and Councillor Martin Emmerson, Skipton's 2016 mayor, were invited as guests to hand over the cup to the town mayor of Shepperton in Surrey.
NCFC patron Diana Moran, who is also known as 'the Green Goddess', told the committee, Shepperton councillors and business leaders what a beautiful town Skipton was and urged those attending to visit at their earliest opportunity.
Following a successful weekend, Malcolm and Martin are considering starting a courtesy committee and are looking for volunteers to join this committee to ensure that Skipton continues to offer courtesy to visitors.
Anybody interested in joining the committee can contact Malcolm on 01756 700100.
