Fire crews were called to a chimney fire in Roberttown this morning.
Firefighters from Cleckheaton were called to a house on Commonside at around 9am.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said the chimney breast was blocked and had not been swept "for a while".
The fire was contained to the chimney and crews dug out the build up of coal and coke.
They used a stirrup pump to put the fire out and spent around an hour and a half at the scene.
