A WOMAN in a wheelchair has been airlifted to hospital after being involved in a collision with a car in Bradford tonight.
Emergency services, including the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, have been at the schene in Horton Park Avenue.
The driver of the car remained at the location while the woman was flown by air ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary, police comfirmed.
The condition of the woman is not yet known and no further information about the circumstances of the collisoin have yet been released.
Witnesses say there were several ambulances and emergency vehicles at the scene and the air ambulance took off at around 6.30pm.
The road is understood to be closed while investigations are carried out and police are present to direct traffic.
The advice is to avoid the area while the backlog of built up traffic is moved.
The incident happened at about 5.40pm.
