SKIPTON folk fusion band The Tenmours will be playing a gig at the Leeds College of Music.

The Tenmours, who are scheduled to perform at 7.30pm on Friday, October 27, will share the evening with legendary folk singer Shelagh McDonald and singer-songwriter Nigel H Seymour.

The Skipton band, who will perform some new songs on the evening, take their influences from modern pop music and traditional Celtic music to appeal to lovers of music of any genre.

The band consists of the powerful vocals and guitar of Alex Johnston-Seymour, the virtuoso fiddle playing of Ross Tennant and the versatility of accomplished pianist and percussionist Adam Hopkins.

Alex and Ross are regular buskers on Skipton High Street and the band have played many times at the Sound Bar on Swadford Street.

Adam was former pupil at Ermysted's Grammar School while Ross attended Aireville School. Alex hails from Cumbria, but all three band members now live in Skipton.

Tickets for the Leeds College of Music concert, which is in the Recital Room, cost £5 and are available online at lcm.ac.uk/whats-on/the-tenmours/

The Tenmours are also set to play at the Dickensian Festival in Grassington in December.
