COMIC book fans donned fancy dress to mix it with stars of the some of the world’s biggest film franchises at ‘Bradford Unleashed’, the city’s own ‘comic-con’ today.

Queues snaked around Bradford City’s Valley Parade as doors opened to advance ticketholders at 10am.

Many guests took the chance to dress as their heroes for the day, with children and adults alike posing as characters including Spiderman, Captain America, Wonder Woman, Batman, Robocop, and stormtroopers from Star Wars.

Devotees of the blockbuster sci-fi franchise were given an extra treat with the chance to get autographs and hear question and answer sessions with stars Christopher Patrick Nolan and Paul Warren.

The event also boasted an appearance by the Superheroes Cosplay group, games for children, and a host of traders.

One visitor, Paul Jannetta, from Wilsden, took to Facebook to say to the event’s organisers: “Thank you so much for today. Absolutely loved it, possibly more than my son. Brilliant day!”
