AN elderly driver had to be cut free from her car after flipping it onto its side in a crash in Brighouse.
The 82 year-old woman is thought to have crashed after hitting a pedestrian crossing on Huddersfield Road.
Emergency services were called to the incident at around 2.20pm yesterday, with the busy road remaining closed until the vehicle was recovered.
Firefighters had to remove the roof of the car, a Mercedes, to free the woman, who received treatment at the scene.
A police spokesman said she suffered only minor injuries.
