A man has been arrested after an axe attack in Wyke.
The 30-year-old was arrested on suspicion of with wounding with intent after a man in his 20s suffered a fractured skull in the assault on Sunday night.
Police were called to the Brown Cow pub, Town Gate, Wyke, after the victim was attacked with an axe before a gang of men left the scene in a white Nissan Qashqai car.
The victim was still in hospital as of yesterday.
Earlier in the week, a West Yorkshire spokesman confirmed the assault was believed to be a targeted attack which posed no risk to the wider public.
The man arrested has been released pending further enquiries.
