A DRIVER has been arrested after crashing into two cars on a city centre road after failing to stop for police.
The 40-year-old was arrested at the scene in Hamm Strasse last night on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink and drugs, dangerous driving, failing to stop for police and theft of motor vehicle.
He remains in custody today.
The crash occurred at 7.50pm and happened after the driver of a blue Audi RS3 failed to stop for police in Lumb Lane.
West Yorkshire Police say officers were not pursuing the Audi when it was in the crash with a grey Toyota Auris and black Ford Kuga.
A number of people were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
