THE streets of Farsley town centre looked more like a James Bond film set today as the fourth annual Aston Martin reunion rolled into town.

Around 50 Aston Martins travelled in convoy around the town before parking up outside Sunny Bank Mills in Town Street.

The cars, which dated back to 1950 all the way up to present day models, drew hundreds of people to the mill, who managed to catch a glimpse of some of the famous brand's rarest vehicles.

The Aston Martin DB2 and 2A were produced in Farsley in the 1950s, a fact only formally recognised by the car maker four years ago, and reunions have been holding place in the town ever since.

Rod Wood, one of the organisers of the event, said: "It was another terrific day, we have to say it never rains on our parade.

"When we were meeting it was throwing it down but by the time we got to the start of the parade the rain stopped and the sun came out and it was absolutely glorious.

"The amount of people from Farsley who turned out, especially young children, was great and it was another successful reunion.

"We had one original Farsley DB2, he comes every year and it looked incredible."

The cars all met up at Farsley Celtic's stadium at 9am, before heading up Newlands and onto Frances Street, before parading down Town Street.

Money was also raised on the day by the Scouts and the Rotary Club which will go towards funding this year's Farsley Christmas lights.
