SCORES of people turned out at the Broadway shopping centre today to meet one of Britain’s greatest boxers.
Frank Bruno, the former WBC World Heavyweight and European Heavyweight champion, made an appearance at the shopping centre, where he met fans and posed for photos, along with signing photographs, boxing gloves and other memorabilia.
Crowds flocked to the pop-up attraction to meet the boxing legend, 55, who won 40 of his 45 professional fights, 38 by knockout, and came up against legends such as Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis.
Ian Ward, general manager at The Broadway, says: “We were extremely excited to welcome Frank Bruno to the Broadway.
“This event was a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet the MBE World Champion who will forever be recognised as one of the most well-loved and legendary boxers in British history.”
Bruno is currently focusing on his charity, the Frank Bruno Foundation, which works to improve the mental health of young people through non-contact boxing.
