BRADFORD SALEM are set to ring the changes for their home match against Moortown on Saturday in Yorkshire Division One.

They lost prop John Bradbury with a knee injury in last weekend’s opening 25-18 defeat at Hullensians, so switch Latvian Gundars Griekis to the front row, where the experienced Simon Markey hooks.

Callum Manchester, normally a flanker, partners the returning John Morrell in the second row, while Christian Baines is back at No 8.

Skipper Andy Robinson reverts to centre to partner Connor Malarkey, who needs a fitness test on a knee injury, while Harry Hall, normally a centre, wears the No 10 shirt, while one wing berth is left in abeyance.

Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither will Keighley RUFC be under head coach Dave Duxbury.

His new regime began league life with a 36-21 Yorkshire Division One defeat at Scarborough last Saturday.

"Don't get me wrong, Scarborough were very good," said Duxbury, "but we had three debutants in the pack and a new-look back line.

"One or two people may think that we will be right up there at the end of the season, but things will take time to gel, and we seemed to forget everything in the first half that we had learnt on the training paddock.

"We also lost flanker Tom Lowther with a knee injury after 20 minutes and full back Allan Ebbrell at half-time with a cut head.

"We only saw the ball once or twice in the first 20 minutes, and it didn't help that it took us three and a half hours to get to the ground.

"We wanted to arrive at 1.30pm but didn't get there until 2.15pm, which meant that all of our warm-ups were truncated.

"Alex Brown has a 15-minute warm-up normally but only managed three kicks, but we were a different animal in the second half."

Duxbury added before Saturday's trip to Selby, where a couple of players are expected back to replace Lowther and Ebbrell in like-for-like swaps: "What we don't want to do is throw away everything that we have been working on just because of one result.

"Patience is the key word."
