Police tonight confirmed that an arrest has been made in relation to the fake wristband scam that has blighted the first day of Bingley Music Live.
Officers said a male was currently in custody being quizzed over the swindle, which left some unsuspecting music fans close to tears when their their means of entry was found to be invalid.
A police spokesman said: "A male connected to this scam is currently in custody, under investigation by Detectives. We will keep you informed."
One 15-year-old boy, who was part of a group of 30 people, contacted the Telegraph & Argus to say the entire group had been refused entry when their wristbands were found to be invalid.
The boy said he was "gutted and angry."
Earlier, police issued a warning to advise people to buy tickets from official sources due to "fake/stolen" passes circulating in Bingley.
