A faulty tumble dryer sparked a kitchen blaze in Holme Wood last night.
Firefighters from Bradford were called to Holme Field View at 11.40pm.
Watch commander John Sugden said the kitchen was 100 per cent involved in the fire, that people were evacuated from the house and a dog had to be rescued from the kitchen.
The house has been smoke damaged, but the fire was contained to the one room.
The firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus sets, used two hose reels at the scene and will be going back today to carry out fire safety checks.
They left at around 1.30am.
