DISRUPTION was caused to rush hour traffic at a major Bradford city centre junction today by a serious two-vehicle crash.

An ambulance and a silver Skoda Octavia were involved in the smash, which took place shortly after 5pm at the junction of Shipley Airedale Road and Leeds Road.

Both vehicles were write-offs following the crash, both sustaining extensive front end damage.

The ambulance’s entire front grille and bumper were ripped off in the collision revealing the vehicle’s radiator, and the front passenger side of the Skoda was left crumpled from the impact.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “It was a shunt kind of crash, but no injuries were reported.”
