HARTSHEAD Moor secured promotion to the All Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League Championship Division One with their eight-wicket win at Spen Victoria.

They now need a further eight points from their remaining four Championship Division Two games to be crowned champions.

Iain Wardlaw took his tally of wickets for the season to 72 with 5-44 as Spen Victoria were bowled out for 124, a score that was bolstered by a defiant 62 from George Deegan.

Once again the Hartshead Moor innings was dominated by Mohammad Khan.

He followed up his match-winning century in the previous Sunday's Jack Hampshire Cup final win over Wakefield St Michael's with 71.

It means that he has now scored 893 league runs this season.

Meanwhile, Hunslet Nelson's promotion hopes took a hit when they were bowled out for 105 by Buttershaw St Paul's and lost by nine wickets.

They were undone by experienced spin bowlers Tosh Baker (5-31) and Ben Platt (4-32), with the last nine wickets falling for 38 runs.

Kevin McDermott hit an unbeaten 58 for St Paul's and shared an opening stand of 99 with Gary Wainwright (35).

Altofts capitalised on Nelson's defeat with a 141-run win over Carlton which lifted them into second place.

The highlight of their latest victory was an impressive 134 from Kristian Miller, an innings laced with four sixes and 15 fours.

Miller was joined in a fifth-wicket stand of 187 by Luke Whitmore (74no) as Altofts made 253-6. Liam Morris (4-78) was the most successful bowler.

Carlton were soon in trouble when they limped to 112-8 in their 50 overs.

At one point they were 55-8 before Daniel Sampson (25) and Joshua Thurwell (32no) shared an unbroken ninth-wicket stand of 57. Callum Nutall took 3-31 for Altofts.

Keighley opener Luke Chapman (39) was their only batsman to make an impression as they were dismissed for 134 by Northowram Fields.

Their middle order crumbled against the bowling of Ashton Richardson (4-28) and Jason Smith (3-33).

With skipper Andrew Wear taking 3-32, Keighley made Northowram Fields fight hard for their three-wicket win.

Shakeel Mahmood's 45 was the key to Northowram Fields securing the win.

Idle found the going tough against Liversedge and, despite 39 from overseas player Deron Greaves, they were all out for 131.

Slow left-arm bowler Asif Ali impressed again with 4-37, while Wasim Khaliq took 3-25.

Liversedge didn't find batting much easier but 52 from overseas player Ali helped them to secure a two-wicket success.

Mark Ashton (47), Chris Scott (45) and Jordan Graven (38) helped Hopton Mills to 211-7 against Brighouse, Sohail Hussain being the pick of the bowlers with 4-63.

Brighouse were rolled over for 79 to lose by 132 runs, with Michael Carroll (4-14) and Umar Abbas (3-52) doing the damage.

Azaad's No 11 Zamurad Khan scored a remarkable unbeaten century but still ended up on the losing side against Adwalton in the Conference Division.

Khan arrived at the wicket with his side in deep trouble at 92-9, but quickly transformed their situation in a Conference tenth-wicket record partnership of 153 with Zahoor Hussain (57).

Khan hit an incredible 14 sixes and four fours as he made an unbeaten 107 from just 49 balls.

Hussain was more sedate, with his runs coming from 67 balls, including a six and nine fours.

Andrew Stolzenberg (4-29) and Matt Donohoe (3-45) were the pick of the bowlers for Adwalton, who chased down Azaad's 245 with eight balls to spare.

Joshua Bennett (63)and Gary Lewsley (55) put on 122 for the third wicket before a rapid 49 not out from 23 balls by James Curtis got Adwalton over the line.

Alex Antoine, of Windhill & Daisy Hill, made the day's highest individual score of 169 to help his side to the day's biggest total of 319-7 as they defeated Oulton by 170 runs.

Antoine has proved a fine addition and hit 14 sixes and 13 fours in his 78-ball demolition of the Oulton bowling.

Maz Bhatti (41) added 100 for the third wicket with Antoine, while opener Aidan Holroyd's 48 was another key contribution to the huge Windhill & Daisy Hill total.

Matthew Boucher took 3-46 for Oulton, who were bowled out for 149 in their innings.

Boucher was top scorer with 55, while opener Ryan Healey made 38. Byron Greenwood (3-52) and Craig Marshall (3-22) were the main wicket takers.

Leaders Wakefield St Michael's showed no hangover from their Jack Hampshire Cup final defeat as they kept their promotion challenge on track with another win.

This time their victims were Gildersome, who they they defeated by 166 runs.

Opener Alex Leyshon and Mark Atkinson both made 71, while Ryan Wilby scored 39 in a total of 256-8. Ghulam Hussain (4-63) was the best of the Gildersome bowlers.

The Gildersome batting has been rather hit and miss this season.

On this occasion it was definitely miss as they were dismissed for 90, with Joe Finnigan (5-39) and Hugh Birchall (4-35) doing the damage.

East Ardsley are nine points behind the leaders after their comfortable eight-wicket win over Crossbank Methodists.

Ashley Pearson took 4-35 as Crossbank were bowled out for 149.

Adam Holroyd battled hard for his unbeaten 57, while opener Lee Peters made 30.

Opener Richard Vigars, a recent recruit from the now defunct Brook Walton, top-scored with 61, while Jake Alleston made an unbeaten 40 as East Ardsley cruised to their target.

Former Woodlands seamer Tom Lightfoot took 5-21 as third-placed Sandal bowled out Rodley for 180 to set up a six-wicket win.

Sam Noden (3-40) continued his good form too as Robert Young, with a determined 88 and Mark Sugden (59), dominated the Rodley innings.

Sandal reached their target with 20.5 overs to spare thanks to Ian Shuttleworth (69) and Sam Noden (53no).

Fourth-placed Great Preston suffered a surprise 31-run defeat at the hands of Heckmondwike & Carlinghow.

Haseeb Hashmi's 55 and Nazakat Hussain's 34 were the key features of Heckmondwike's 145 as Luke Kane took 3-22 and Lee Russell 3-39.

Opener Jacob Wright made a battling 53 for Great Preston, but he lacked support and his side were dismissed for 114.

Umar Qureshi took 4-15 and Khurram Shehzad 3-27 as Heckmondwike & Carlinghow wrapped up victory.
