AN empty plot of land in the centre of Bradford will go under the hammer at a property auction next month.

The 301 square metre piece of privately owned land on Morley Street will have a £10,000 guide price when it appears at the Pugh Property Auction in Leeds on September 7 at Leeds United Football Club.

In 2001 planning permission was granted for a kiosk on the site, but the plans never came to fruition and the land has remained vacant ever since.

It lies between the Kashmiri Restaurant and the Life community centre, and is a short distance from the Alhambra Theatre.

The auction listing describes the site as being in “close proximity to the thriving nightlife in Bradford City Centre.”

Other lots being auctioned include Bradford Council owned 36-38 Towngate, a vacant shop in Wyke, which has a guide price of £30,000.
