Dr Simpo shows Adam Akhtar cartoon drawing methods at City Library
A FASCINATING insight into the creative world of cartoon drawing was given to youngsters at an event at the City Library this weekend.
Dr Simpo, a Yorkshire-born cartoonist who is a practicing comic book artist, illustrator and animator, was on hand at the library on Saturday to give classes on the varying methods of illustration and how best to put skills into practice.
The artist showed examples of how to illustrate different characters to make them come alive on the canvas and in a way which could be understood by young people.
