MANORLANDS has netted £650 from a football supporters' club.

Members of the 100-strong Keighley Whites have handed over the cash, raised through a weekly raffle last season.

The donation was received by Andrew Wood, community fundraising manager at the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice, before the Leeds United fans headed off for their team's opening game of the season at Bolton Wanderers.

The group meets each week at the Three Horses pub in Fell Lane, before departing for matches.

Steve and Janine Pickles, main organisers of the raffle, have announced that Manorlands will continue to benefit from the proceeds this season.

Mr Wood thanked the group for its support.

"This is a really simple fundraiser that makes a big difference to the care we can provide over the course of the season," he said.

"We're very grateful for the donation and delighted that the group has chosen to support us again this year."
