A PROPOSAL to convert the upper floors of a Darley Street shop into flats has been approved by planners.
The top three floors of 57 Darley Street (pictured), currently classed as office and storage space, were the subject of the application by J Ashraf. It will see the ground floor shop, which is currently being refurbished, retained and the upper floors converted into two, two bedroom flats and one single bedroom flat.
Planning officers said the proposals were acceptable, and would "align with the objectives of the emerging City Centre Area Action Plan which encourage the residential use of the upper floors of buildings."
