A DERELICT Manningham pub could be converted into flats under new plans submitted to Bradford Council.
The long empty Mowbray Hotel on Lily Street is the subject of a planning application by Younis Choudhry, that will see the building re-developed into seven flats, five one bedroom and two, two bedroom.
The building, in the St Paul’s Conservation area, has been damaged by vandalism.
The application admits that the flats would fall below government standards for residential space, but adds: “Conversion of the property to any less dense a development would be not be financially viable considering the cost of the works. As such we would hope there may be some relaxation of these standards in this situation.”
A decision is expected next month.
