DO you want to star in an upcoming Bollywood blockbuster that is filming key scenes in Bradford next week?

Mad Dog Casting is looking for hundreds of extras to appear in the film Gold, which is filming at Odsal Stadium on Saturday, August 19.

Street-casters from the company are in Bradford city centre around the Broadway and City Park on the lookout for potential stars.

The film tells the story of India’s historic first Olympic gold medal as an independent nation in men’s hockey at the 1948 Games in London.

It stars one of Bollywood’s biggest actors, Akshay Kumar, as Balbir Singh, who is regarded as one of the best hockey players of all time, who scored two goals in the final as India defeated Great Britain 4-0 at Wembley Stadium, alongside Mouni Roy and Richard Cunningham.

Odsal, often touted as the ‘Wembley of the North’ is being used as to replicate the old Wembley Stadium.

People wishing to play a paid role in the film are required to be clean shaven with no visible tattoos or piercings and with a short back and sides haircut, and by aged 16 and over.

Extras will appear in the crowd at the game, and may play roles as players or staff around the field.
