BULLS plan to shock Toulouse Olympique once again – with a little help from the returning Lee Smith.

Bradford kick-off their Bottom Eights campaign on Sunday when the French side, who surprisingly missed out on a top-four finish, visit Odsal.

While the hosts remain rock-bottom, the long-awaited return of former England international Smith after four months out delivers a timely boost.

And club operations manager Russ MacFarlane believes the experienced utility back can help the Bulls end a tough campaign on a high.

"The players are focused on Toulouse and pretty excited about trying to upset them again," he said, referring to February's 29-22 victory on home turf.

"Plus, Lee Smith should be back from his long-term injury which really is a massive boost for the team.

"Lee has so much experience to bring to the table and is fully fit again, so fingers-crossed he can help us get that win and boost everyone's mood for the rest of the Super Eights."

On the Bulls' aims for the remaining seven games, MacFarlane added: "The support we've had all season has been excellent – we've got to try to match that on the field. We owe it to those fans to do the best we can over these final games and finish on a high ahead of next season.

"We've got to build as much momentum as we can and be ready for whatever comes at us next year.

"A winning finish will increase morale for the players and the supporters that make the club what it is. So it's important for the squad, supporters, staff – everyone involved in this club."
