A NEWLY-WED couple celebrated their first few hours of being married in unique style - by watching a film in Bradford.

Nathalie Tolmie-Thomson, 24, from Undercliffe, and Harry Tolmie-Thomson, 27, from York, married at Bradford City Hall yesterday, before heading to the National Science and Media Museum’s IMAX theatre to watch Dunkirk after the ceremony.

Cinema and museum staff, who had spotted the bride’s tweets about their plans, welcomed them with a glass of bubbly, a Warner Brothers gift pack from the film Dunkirk and a Picturehouse Plus annual membership.

Mrs Tolmie-Thomson, 24, said: “Dunkirk is the biggest film of the year.

“We both love films and I love this museum, so this seemed like the best day to come and see it with our friends. Getting married in Bradford and spending the afternoon here is just what we wanted to do.”

The happy couple and wedding guests watched the acclaimed film starring Harry Styles in their wedding outfits. The couple will be honeymooning in Cardigan Bay.

Phil Oates, from the National Science and Media Museum, said: “Congratulations to Nathalie and Harry. It’s not often newlyweds visit us on their wedding day but we’re really pleased they did and hope we contributed a little to making it a memorable celebration.”
