STUDENTS are celebrating creating their very own anthology.
Pupils at Feversham College, in Undercliffe, Bradford, put pen to paper and got their creative juices flowing to produce ‘Spilt Ink’, which they have been working on since autumn last year.
The First Story initiative is now in its fourth year and encourages students to gain confidence and self-esteem, as well as improving their writing
They worked with acclaimed writers including poet Malika Booker and playwright Zodwa Nyoni.
The Lord Mayor of Bradford, Cllr Abid Hussain, attended the launch of the anthology at a special ceremony in City Hall.
It included readings from the students, highlights from this year’s programme and motivational words from Booker and Nyoni,
Students said that the First Story project had boosted their confidence and helped them to speak in front of others.
