A HEATON man has appeared in court to deny his involvement in a shooting on a Bradford street.
Nasir Humayun, 27, of Highfield Crescent, appeared at Bradford Crown Court yesterday charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Appearing via video link from prison in Leeds, he pleaded not guilty to the alleged offence.
The charge relates to an incident in which a firearm was discharged at a house in Stoney Ridge Avenue, Heaton (pictured), on May 22. Police stated at the time that the shooting was being treated as a “targeted incident”.
Humayun is currently in custody after being jailed for 16 weeks for two offences of driving while disqualified.
Judge Neil Davey QC set a timetable for a three-day trial, set to begin at the same court on October 2.
