ALL the fun of the seaside is coming to Steeton.

St Stephen's Church is staging Holidays at Home, on August 5 and 12.

The initiative is aimed at over-50s who may be affected by loneliness and don't get away on holiday.

The church hall will be transformed, with a beach, postcards, rock, seaside photos, games, entertainment and afternoon teas.

Morning coffee at Steeton Hall Hotel and a fish-and-chip lunch at the Trawlerman, Cross Hills, will be included in the first session.

And the second will feature a traditional roast lunch.

Each session runs from 10am to 5pm.

The cost is £10 per person per day, including all meals and transport.

"It is a great opportunity for over-50s in the community to enjoy fun and laughter in a seaside holiday environment," said Lynda Corser, for the organisers.

Places must be booked in advance.

For further information and to book, contact Mrs Corser on 01535 678698 or the Rev Jenny Savage on 01535 657537.
