ROTARIANS have learned more about a project which helps children affected by poverty or disaster.
Ann Acaster spoke to the Haworth & Worth Valley club about the School in a Bag charity.
Inner Wheel members across the UK have been supporting the cause, which provides youngsters with the essentials to attend school.
The initiative is managed by the Piers Simon Appeal, which was set-up following the 2004 tsunami.
A Rotary club spokesman said: “We hope to support the efforts of the charity with fundraising and through promotion of its work by engaging with local schools.”
