SUPERHEROS were out in force today as Bradford Literature Festival got underway.
There is still one week left of literary fun set to take place in locations across the city which will be hosting more than 300 events featuring more than 400 guests, with a number of different discussions and author talks.
Thor and Superwoman were just some of the familiar superhero faces in City Park this afternoon putting on free shows in the sunshine for the crowds. Among them was three-year-old Rowan McGibbon from Menston who dressed for the occasion as Spiderman. Dad Ross, 53, said: “It’s Rowan who is the real Superhero fan, I’m just here for the day out!”
A huge inflatable structure in Centenary Square has formed the festival’s hub where visitors can browse books, attend talks and buy tickets outside City Hall.
Tomorrow there will also be a celebration of fairy tales with more live shows and the University of Bradford will be hosting a second day of a comic con and Manga festival. Visit bradfordlitfest.co.uk/ to find out more about what's on.
