JIBRAEL Malik whacked ten fours and two sixes in a match-winning 83 that sent Ilkley into their first Waddilove Cup semi-final since 1989.
For a second day in a row, Pool's batting was below par and only John Goldthorp (39) and Charlie Bell (28) threatened the bowling of Rob Spivey (3-38) and Paul Dover (3-21).
Yet even Pool's modest 164 looked as though it might just be enough until Malik and Dover (30no) put on 66 for the fifth wicket to set up the five-wicket victory.
Ilkley's 24th semi-final will be against Bilton (315-9 – Sajad Ali 80, Vic Craven 68), who beat St Chads Broomfield (Alasdair Fearns 89) by 90 runs to end the league new boys' impressive cup debut.
Also in the last four for the 24th time are Burley after their 65-run win at Addingham.
Ricky Palacio (4-57) boosted his weekend's haul to ten wickets but Ed Brown again relished the cup arena, hitting 130.
Jason Wright weighed in with 47 not out as Burley were bowled out for 275 which, despite a game effort, proved too much for Addingham.
Burley's semi-final will be a clash of the titans as they take on league leaders Beckwithshaw, who knocked out Horsforth.
Michael Lambert picked up 4-32 but Beckwithshaw still posted 250-8 and, despite the efforts of Charlie Swallow (50) and Johnny Bell (44), Horsforth were dismissed for 176.
