CHAMPIONSHIP Two leaders Hartshead Moor are now the only team in the All Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League with a 100 per cent record after beating Buttershaw St Paul's by 132 runs.

Even without leading wicket-taker Iain Wardlaw, they were far too good for last season's Conference champions.

This time the bowling honours went to young spinner Nat Skirrow. He returned figures of 6-43 as St Paul's were bowled out for 140, Ben Platt (41) and Jamie Robson (33) being the top scorers.

Close-season signing Mohammad Khan (97) and Ahsan Butt (81) had showed their value to the team as they laid the foundation which enabled Rauf Qayyum to launch a 30-ball assault which brought him an unbeaten 51 and swelled the Moor total to 272-4.

Second-placed Northowram Fields, 40 points back, made short work of their game at Spen Victoria.

They rolled over the home side for 90, with Josh Bennett-Kear (4-17), Jason Smith (3-24) and Will Parkin (3-19) sharing the wickets. Ben Gench was unbeaten on 31 when an eight-wicket win was sealed.

Idle's 65-run win over Keighley means they climb above Spen Victoria and out of the bottom two.

Salman Khan impressed with 6-18 as Keighley were dismissed for 92 when they replied to Idle's 157. Only Adam Smith, with a breezy 48, offered much challenge to the bowlers.

West Indian all-rounder Deron Greaves had top-scored for Idle with 49, while Keighley's best bowler was Matthew Haines (4-28).

Hunslet Nelson moved up to third after beating Hopton Mills by six wickets. Will Stiff took 3-24 as Mills were all out for 119 and made 40 as Nelson eased home.

Impressive bowling from Asif Ali (6-23) enabled Liversedge to bowl out Altofts for 150 and secure a 75-run win. Half-centuries from opener Alan Sumner (59) and Graham Winn (50no) had under-pinned Sedge's 227-8.

Arman Hussain took 4-47 as Brighouse were bowled out for 193 and then made 45 as Carlton secured a four-wicket win. Sohail Hussain (58) and opener Waj Hussain (41) battled hard for Brighouse but their efforts were in vain.

Conference action saw Crossbank Methodists record their first win of the season – and it was certainly worth waiting for as they racked up a 298-run success against Brook Walton.

They may still be bottom of the table but the result and, more particularly, the performance will certainly lift the Meths team's spirits.

The highlight of the game was an opening stand of 199 between Paul Sauer and Lee Peters. Sauer led the way with an impressive 123, an innings containing six sixes and 17 fours, while Peters made a fine 90. Imran Mayat (43) and Adam Holroyd (34no) added to Brook Walton's suffering.

Holroyd followed up with 5-40 and Alex Drake took 4-30 as Brook Walton were then dismissed for just 77.

Leaders East Ardsley were made to work hard for their ninth win of the campaign against new boys Sandal.

A century from Matthew Westwood saw Sandal make a spirited 230-9 in reply to East Ardsley's 241-8, which included half-centuries from Jake Allerton (71) and Tom Davids (53).

Wakefield St Michael's are second after their 74-run win over Gildersome. Ayaz Seedat continued his good form with 83 and Mark Atkinson chipped in with 56 in a fourth-wicket stand of 123 which helped lift Saints to 219.

Ghulam Hussain made a spirited 74 for Gildersome but his colleagues struggled against Hugh Birchall (6-27) and were bowled out for 145.

Azaad remain third after securing a 113-run win over Rodley. Syed Bukhari (97) and Imran Mahboob (61) powered them to 274-8, while Ryan Callis took 4-66 and Anthony Yelding (3-64) for Rodley.

Bailey Wilson (50) and Don McNamara (43) helped Rodley to a respectable 161 in reply as Tariq Mehmood took 3-23.

Jacob Wright (5-19) and Luke Kane (4-16) joined forces to bowl out Adwalton for 89 and set up their Great Preston side for a nine-wicket win. James Marston was 47 not out when victory was achieved.

Heckmondwike & Carlinghow arrested their recent slump with a 52-run win over Oulton. The dependable Paul Copper made 55 and countered the threat of Jonathan Gardiner (6-46) and Ben Child (3-17) as he helped his side to 171.

Oulton, despite 39 from Jonathan Henshaw, were all out for 119, Nazakat Hussain taking 5-26 and Haseeb Hasmi (3-25).

James Van Der Merwe is the Conference's leading run scorer but it was his prowess with the ball which enabled East Leeds to defeat Windhill & Daisy Hill by 37 runs. He took 5-42 and was backed up by James Watling (4-34).

Watling had earlier top-scored with 52 in his side's 178, while Alan Olbison (39) also chipped in with valuable runs. The best of the bowlers were Byron Greenwood (3-36) and Bryan Holdsworth (3-51).
