POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed in his home by three masked men in Heckmondwike. 

The victim, a 23-year-old man, was assaulted and forced into his living room by three men after he was approached by the group of men when he was in the back garden of his home in Church Lane.

One of the three suspects restrained the victim while the other two searched the house before all three fled. 

The men stole a quantity of cash, iPhones and a laptop in the incident at around 9.30pm on Saturday, June 17.

The first suspect was black, of medium build and around average height, wearing a hoodie and black bottoms. 

The second man was Asian of medium build and average height, wearing all black clothing and shoes.

He spoke in Punjabi and had a local accent as well. 

The third suspect was smaller in build and height and was wearing all black clothing.  

Detective Constable Simon Thomas, of Huddersfield District CID, said: "This was clearly a very serious offence in which the victim was assaulted and robbed in his own home.

“It is fortunate he was not seriously injured and we would like to speak to anyone who has information about what took place or who witnessed three men fitting these descriptions.”
