SHERIDAN Smith has been forced to pull out of hit show Funny Girl in Bradford this week, as she has mumps.
A statement from Bradford Theatres said that on doctor’s advice, the popular actress will not be able to perform at the Alhambra this week.
A Bradford Theatres spokesman said: "The producers and company wish her a speedy recovery and look forward to welcoming her back as soon as possible."
Sheridan Smith won rave reviews for her performance as early Broadway star Fanny Brice in the West End, and is currently on tour with the show.
Natasha J Barnes is now playing Fanny Brice at the Alhambra this week. Miss Barnes played the role as alternate to Miss Smith in the West End, and is currently sharing it with her on the tour.
Miss Barnes got a standing ovation from the audience last night.
