LATEST: Man accused of murdering Bradford woman appears in court

POLICE have formally identified a Bradford woman found dead at a house in Derby over the weekend.

The body of Sobhia Tabasim Khan, 37, was found at her home in Pear Tree Crescent, Normanton, on Saturday.

Her family have now released a picture of her.

Ataul Mustafa, 35, of the same address, has been charged with her murder and will appear at Nottingham Crown Court tomorrow.

Tributes to Mrs Khan have been paid on social media, including by Tahir Khan who wrote: “RIP big sis.”

Raising Explorers, an after-school club on Carlisle Road in Manningham where Mrs Khan is understood to have worked, has also posted a message on its Facebook page, which said: “While police investigations continue our thoughts are with her family in this most tragic of circumstances.

“Her family are at Masjid Hanfia, BD8, for those of you who wish to come and show your respects.”

Derbyshire Police are still appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to call 101, quoting reference 17000222492.
