THE HYPOCHONDRIAC is the title of the next play to be performed by Bingley Little Theatre at the town’s Arts Centre.
The “therapeutic farce” was originally written by John Baptiste Poquelin Moliere, but has been adapted by hit comedy playwright Richard Bean.
Molière’s classic presentation is described as one of the greatest comic plays ever written.
It is not just about how hypochondria affects the hypochondriac himself, but about the profound effect it has on the lives of those around him.
The play about an imaginary and illness sets out to make people fools and dupes.

The Hypochondriac brings BLT’s 2016/17 season to a close, following the performance of plays by renowned writers Charles Dickens, Tim Firth, Alan Ayckbourn, Henrik Ibsen and Arthur Miller.
