CARING colleagues at Steeton-based Acorn Stairlifts raised nearly £600 for a national charity.
Staff at the company’s Station Road HQ staged a dress-down day, in which each paid £2 to attend in casual clothes, and homemade cakes were sold.
All proceeds went to Arthritis Care.
The fundraiser was staged as part of Arthritis Care Week, held to raise awareness of the condition.
Many Acorn customers have invested in a stairlift due to mobility issues caused by arthritis.
Gareth Deegan, for the company, said: “The services provided by Arthritis Care are invaluable to anyone living with the condition and the daily challenges it brings.
“We are proud to work alongside this great charity and to support Arthritis Care Week.”
