An exiled Bradford City fan has sent them a Wembley good luck message from the other side of the world - and filmed a cult local musician doing the same.

Bantams-mad Mark moved to New Zealand in 2001 so has missed out on a couple of Wembley visits so far, although he was there in 1996.

But he told us: "Heaps of my family, including my 80-year-old dad, have bought tickets and will cheer the Bantams to the Championship. Come on City, beat those dirty south London [censored]!"

Dann Pinkney, a "local Kiwi legend" according to Mark, was playing a gig at the the Duke Tavern in Russell when he performed an impromptu version of City anthem Midland Road.

In the clip, taken the night before the first leg of the play-off semi-final against Fleetwood - "Maybe it helped, who knows?" said Mark - Dann performs an enthusiastic acoustic version of the song, ending with a raised fist and the rallying cry: "Go the Bantams!"

Dann will be heading over to the UK later this year for a string of gigs. He'll be sure of a warm welcome if he adds Bradford to his schedule.
