A wheelie bin fire has caused damage to two homes
A CANNABIS farm was discovered earlier today after firefighters tackled a wheelie bin fire that damaged two houses.
It happened at around 5.20am in Longfield Drive, off Wakefield Road in Bradford, affecting a shared porch area.
Smoke detectors inside both homes alerted the occupiers who all got out safely.
Police were also alerted and officers who attended the scene found a small cannabis farm.
A police spokesman said: “A small cannabis farm was found at the scene of a fire in Longfield Drive, Bradford at about 5.30am today.Enquiries are continuing and anyone who can assist these is asked to contact police on 101, quoting log 183 of 5 May.”
The cause of the fire was believed to have been accidental.
